Al Areen Park
Al Areen Park is a protected wildlife reserve in the Southern Governorate of Bahrain. Enjoy the sight of animals, birds and desert plants in their natural environment. Take a walk around the park and get close to the unique birds that wander freely. Also, take a guided bus tour in the reserve to see endangered animals such as the Arabian Leopard, the Ostrich, the Arabian Gazelle, the Oryx and many more.
Al Areen is located in AlMarkh, five kilometers south-west of Jabal AlDukhan, two kilometers from the Zallaq shoreline.
Spanning an area of seven kilometers, the area was carefully selected as it is known for the Markh plant (Broom Bush), which is an excellent refuge to animals and birds and protects the soil from erosion and the movement of sand dunes.
